The Brazoria County seat, Angleton is a thriving community, and a hub of technology, agriculture and history that is strategically located on State Highway 28830 miles from Houston and 12 miles from the Gulf of Mexico. Angleton is home to the 70-foot Stephen F. Austin Statue, Brazoria County Fair and Rodeo, and MSR Houston Racetrack.

Annual events include the Austin Town Festival, a re-enactment of an 1830s Colonial Texas town in November, Market Days from March through November, Freedom Festival the Saturday before July 4 and Heart of Christmas Celebration in December.
