Seminole Indian Scout Cemetery

This site is the resting place of more than 100 Seminole scouts. They were descendants of escaped slaves and Florida's Seminole Indians who settled in Brackettville around Fort Clark. They helped protect the Texas frontier after the U.S. Cavalry recruited them to fight against hostile Native Americans. Graves include four Medal of Honor winners.
