Prisoners of war in this WWII camp passed the time with elaborate stage productions and the construction of numerous castles and fountains using available native materials. Remnants and artifacts from their projects can be seen today, along with an exhibit on life in the camp in a replica army barracks. Group tours may be arranged with the visitor center.
Grounds open daily. Exhibit building open 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Wed.-Sat. and other times by appointment.
