FAI World Gliding Championship

Enjoy competition flying, rides in gliders and helicopters, the Taste of Texas Festival, bull riding, Uvalde Opera House melodramas, arts and crafts, booths and more at this event that draws 130 of the world's best glider pilots from 25 countries. Includes a welcome party on July 27, a pre-competition barbecue and dance on Aug. 3, and a parade on Getty Street and opening ceremonies Aug. 4. Various locations.
