Texas Independence Day Celebration

This event celebrates the 176th anniversary of the historic meeting that produced the documents that declared Texas independent from Mexico and gave rise to the Republic of Texas. Features costumed re-enactors, period craft demonstrations, military encampments and Texas tunes. Hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Washington-on-the-Brazos State Historic Site.
