The museum features a permanent collection, including works by N.C. Wyeth,
Marc Chagall and James Whistler. The Museum is the owner/caretaker of the
historic Neale House built in 1834—said to be the oldest frame house in the
city—and the original Fort Brown bandstand. The more than 70-year-old
organization has several annual exhibitions including the International Art Show
and the Student International Art Show. Open 10:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m. Tue.–Fri.
Neale House is open 9:30 a.m.–3 p.m. Mon.–Fri. 660 Ringgold St. 956/542-0941. www.brownsvillemfa.org.
