In downtown's Sundance Square, this performance hall is home to the city's
acclaimed symphony, ballet and opera companies, as well as the quadrennial Van
Cliburn International Piano Competition. Casa Manana theater productions,
Broadway-style touring productions and special concerts also take place here.
Bass Hall's striking facade features two 48-foot-tall heralding angels in Texas
limestone. The building, modeled after select European opera houses, bears a
beaux-arts revival design with an audience chamber in a tiered horseshoe style.
Tours at 10:30 a.m. Sat., depending on production/rehearsal schedules. 525
