Texas Renaissance Festival in Plantersville

Texas Renaissance Festival

Visit a recreated 16th-century British village during eight themed weekends from October–November. Drive 45 minutes north of Houston and discover 53 acres of a magical medieval kingdom. Visit each weekend as a different European country pays homage to Queen Katherine's birthday. There will be jousting, juggling, human-powered rides and games, a Grand Parade and fireworks to end the day. Admission fee. 800/458-3435. www.texrenfest.com
