Shelby County, one of the original counties in the Republic of Texas, is rich
in history. The museum is filled with historical items from bearskins and
bottles to spinning wheels and war bonnets. Open 1–4 p.m. Mon.–Fri. In the
historic 1905 Weaver-Oates home at Thomas and Pecan streets, one block off the
