This is a 600-acre area set aside to preserve native flora and fauna of lower
Rio Grande Valley. Near the banks of the Rio Grande, this park offers
picnicking, rest rooms, bird-watching, nature study, nature trails, boardwalks
and a Hawk Preservation Tower. Park office may be closed during certain days of
non-peak season—contact the park for information. Admission charge. From U.S.
