Sophienburg Museum

Visit this Texas treasure on historic Sophienburg Hill to learn about the story of New Braunfels, "The City of The Prince." Learn about the blending of German, Native American, Hispanic and other ethnic groups that gave birth to a town rich in heritage. Within the museum, walk through a pioneer town featuring noblemen's personal effects, Native American artifacts and items of the pioneer era. The Archives houses documents, maps and photographs for research and genealogical studies. Open 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Tue.–Sat. Admission charge. 401 W.
