Rockdale I&GN Railroad Depot Museum

This renovated 1906 International & Great Northern passenger depot includes artifacts and memorabilia related to the railroad, a model railroad, as well as a Missouri-Pacific dining car and a restored caboose. A replica blacksmith shop also on site features an operational forge and authentic anvil and tools used in the 1800s. The site won Best Restoration honors from the Texas Downtown Association in 2009.
