Includes the Charles Goodnight Hall, which recounts the establishment of JA
Ranch and the protection of the southern herd of the American bison; a Hall of
Honor for Armstrong County servicemen; and a booth honoring the Boy Scouts.
Works from regional artists also are on display. Next door, the Gem Theater is
used for educational and entertainment programs. The campus also includes a
one-room schoolhouse, a cowboy line shack and historic windmill. Newest
additions include a wing about JA Ranch and the offsite Charles Goodnight House
(12 miles east of Claude) that is being restored to its condition circa 1912.
