Quanah, Acme And Pacific Railroad Depot

This three-story structure was built in 1908 in Spanish-mission style with red Ludowici Seville tile roof. An extension of the Hardeman County Jail museum, the building is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. A veterans room, Masonic room and "space room" furnished by NASA and the Smithsonian Institution are here as well. Open 10 a.m.–3 p.m. Mon.–Sat. 105 Green. St. 940/663-5272.

This civilian aviation history museum is housed in an art deco building designed by Joseph Finger. The museum received congressional recognition for its importance to the nation in the preservation and presentation of civil aviation heritage.
