This museum is in Heritage Park in a complex that includes the restored 1912 Union Station and Heritage Hall. Features include the columned facade of Judge Jim Noble Thompson's home, photographs of historic Paris houses, Lamar County military artifacts and the Sheb Williams Rural Life Museum. This consists of exhibits on the hay and cotton industry, a restored 1900 kitchen, a washing machine collection, a salesman's model of stoves and a blacksmith's shop. An iron lung is part of the medical section of the museum. The 1856 Biard log house was moved, intact, into the museum. Open 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Fri.–Sat. Group tours by appointment. 1009 W.
