When it comes to Texas...

Most remote gig in Texas you have ever played?

I guess the most remote gig we played was Terlingua in 1973 with Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Delbert McClinton, Jerry Jeff Walker, etc.

What''s your definition of Texas music?

Texas music is music played in Texas by Texans, native and newcomers.

Best place to see Texas music?

Best place to see music in Texas is all around Austin, not that Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Fort Worth, etc. don't have great music. It's just that there is more music per square foot in Austin.

Favorite Texas album?

My favorite Texas album, can’t choose just one!! Willie, George Strait, Bob Wills and His Texas Playboys, Asleep at the Wheel, T Bone Walker, Ray Price, The Dixie Chicks. This list is even too short.

Place you''d take someone who''s never been to Texas?

If you’ve never been to Texas, visit The Alamo in San Antonio and eat some TexMex food at one of the great Mexican restaurants in town.

Where in Texas feels most unlike Texas?

Bastrop with its pine trees isn’t the stereotypical Texas looking place, but it sure is 100% Texas.
