Denton County African American Museum is housed in the 1904 home of a family
in the African-American community of Quakertown, now part of the city. Photos
and artifacts tell the stories of African-American communities in Denton County,
from their earliest settlement through the present. Open 10 a.m.–noon and 1–3
p.m. Tue.–Sat. Closed on holidays. Free. Mulberry Street at Carroll Boulevard.
