Mission Nuestra Senora De La Purisima Concepcion

Established in 1731, all that remains is the original church and "convento" (priest's residence). The church with twin towers and cupola is the oldest unrestored stone church in the U.S. and stands as completed in 1755. Original frescos have been recently preserved in several rooms. Church acoustics are equated with the Mormon Tabernacle. 807 Mission Road. 210/534-1540.
