Restored 1901 Missouri Pacific Railroad depot houses a county history museum
in an old waiting room and office. Warehouse portion is a hands-on learning
center for children ages 3 to 11. A restored 1908 "Arnold Outhouse," an ornate,
gingerbread-style, "three-holer"—the first in the state to receive a historical
marker—is on the grounds. The grounds also include a restored 1841 log cabin, a
barn, broom shop, 1881 doctor's office and restored 1880s dogtrot cabin. Open 9
a.m.–5 p.m. Mon.–Fri. and 9 a.m.–1 p.m. Sat. Closed national and state holidays.
