Founded in 1988, the facility's mission is to care for its exotic feline
inhabitants, as well as educate the public about them. Bobcats, cougars,
jaguars, leopards, lions and tigers are among the species living on the site,
which currently features more than 60 big cats. Guided walking tours of the
facility take approximately two hours. Open Saturdays and Sundays, but call in
advance to confirm tour times. Donations accepted. Large group tours available
by appointment only. 940/433-5091. www.bigcat.org.
