Animals and lush native vegetation flourish at this 52-acre natural habitat
zoo near the Brazos River. The zoo's newest exhibit, Mysteries of the Asian
Forest, immerses visitors in a rainforest setting where they can encounter
orangutans, Sumatran tigers and komodo dragons. Other exhibits include a
50,000-gallon Flower Garden Reef aquarium, authentic Native American teepees
where a herd of bison graze, otters, black bears, jaguars, lions, elephants,
white rhinos and giraffes. Open 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Mon.–Sat. and 11 a.m.–5 p.m. Sun.
