Mrs. Nina Hale donated, in her late husband's memory, his two-story optometry
clinic that now anchors the Dr. Z.I. Hale Museum Complex, which also includes
The Rock Hotel Heritage Center and the Drummer House. Museum features exhibits
of area history, photographs and documents and old horse-drawn hearse used in
the city from 1906–20. Outside stands a Missouri-Pacific Railroad caboose. The
historic Rock Hotel include a Veterans Room and an exhibit on Baseball Hall of
Famer Rogers Hornsby. Open 1:30–3:30 p.m. Thu.–Sat. 242 W. Dale St.
