Exhibits include early Midland history; photos; pioneer relics; mementos of
the Civil War, World Wars I and II; and Native American artifacts. See the
reproduction of the remains of "Midland Man," discovered on a site on Scharbauer
Ranch south of the city limits. Anthropologist Dr. Fred Wendorf authenticated
the remains (calvarium, upper skull). The discovery proves the existence of man
in the Midland area 22,000 years ago. Open 2–5 p.m. Mon., Wed. and Fri. 301 W.
Missouri. 432/688-8947.
