The Daughters of the Republic of Texas Library is open to the public for
research. The focus of the collection is the period of the Texas Republic,
1836–46. Collections feature extensive material on the Alamo, including files on
each of the Alamo defenders and on San Antonio history. Open 9 a.m.–5 p.m.
Mon.–Sat.; restricted hours March 6. Closed Dec. 24–25. Located inside the Alamo
