Opened in 2001, this attraction offers a labyrinth of twists, turns and
dead-ends, all carved through stalks that tower overhead. A barrel train,
children's play area, picnic areas and a concession stand also on-site. The site
also offers pick-your-own flowers. Generally open September–November; closed
Thanksgiving Day. Two miles east of Hondo on U.S. 90. 830/741-3968. www.southtexasmaize.com.
