King Ranch Saddle Shop

Unsuccessful in purchasing quality saddles and leather goods in the marketplace, Capt. Richard King began operating his own saddlery shop more than 150 years ago for the use of his men, the "Los Kinenos." Through the years, the shop has outfitted governors, presidents and foreign heads of state. Open 10 a.m.–6 p.m. Mon.–Sat. In historic Raglands Building, downtown, 201 E. Soon after settlement began, many French came to the area from South Louisiana. The museum pays tribute to those early French settlers, and it was built as a replica of early Acadian homes.
