Texas' past is preserved in an unusual setting created by ceramist Clyde E.
Gray. Open-air display features old buildings, shops, homes and vehicles, plus
pictures, historical documents, maps and pictorial records of everyday life from
pioneer days through the Roaring '20s. Among the buildings is a restored log
cabin built in 1866 and used through 1960. Housed in an ancient schoolhouse, the
Pickett House restaurant serves family-style meals daily. Village is open 9
a.m.–5 p.m. daily. Admission charge. One mile west of Woodville on U.S. 190.
