This 360-acre park near Joe Pool Lake offers seven miles of hiking trails,
picnic areas, visitor center and a gift shop. It is a habitat for black-capped
vireo and other birds, plus a variety of Texas mammals, reptiles, fish and
insects. The Mary Alice Perkins Bland Butterfly Garden attracts a variety of
native butterflies with wildflowers and reflecting pools. Open 7 a.m.–7 p.m.
daily. Take I-20 to Mountain Creek Parkway exit and go south 2.5 miles to 7171
