Housed in the old City Hall, built in 1940 by the WPA, this museum features
butterfly displays, a Smithsonian-quality exhibit of bird eggs, violins, wood
carvings, arrowheads and changing exhibits. It also is home to the Don Meredith
Memorabilia Exhibit, which features sports items donated by the former Dallas
Cowboys quarterback and Mount Vernon native. Open 10 a.m.–2 p.m. Tue.–Sat. Free.
