This Lone Star legend celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2011 with a $10
million renovation to revamp an old favorite, The Texas Giant wooden roller
coaster. The ride now stands 10 feet taller, peaking at 153 feet before plunging
down a new 79-degree drop and through numerous turns at 65 mph. Thrill seekers
also can take on the Superman Tower of Power, which catapults riders skyward and
blasts them back to earth at speeds of up to 50 mph.
The Titan continues to reign as the largest steel roller coaster in the
Southwest, running more than a mile at speeds up to 85 mph. The
computer-animated "Robots From Mars," ride takes guests on a journey to help
mechanical misfits defeat the evil Supervisor of Mars and save the universe.
Guests can also test their music and entertainment knowledge at Dick Clark's
Face the Music interactive trivia show. For younger guests, Looney Tunes USA
offers Wile E. Coyote's Grand Canyon Blaster and Yosemite Sam's Texas Teacups.
