Like both Espada and Concepcion, this mission was established in 1731.
Besides a charming little chapel with an open bell tower, there are ruins of a
larger church that was never completed. Restored missionary residence displays
artifacts from Spanish colonial period. A short accessible trail runs down to a
section of the original San Antonio River. The church still serves community of
Berg's Mill, now part of the city. The church is scheduled to be closed for
preservation work in 2012. Check before scheduling a visit. 9101 Graf Road, off
Mission Road. 210/534-0749.
