The emporium features 8 acres of gardens specializing in older classes of
garden roses, many brought to the area by settlers. Display gardens also show
native plants, old-fashioned garden perennials and herbs. The Hairston-McKnight
homestead's restored stone kitchen is a focal point of the garden. Open 9 a.m.–6
p.m. Mon.–Sat. and 11 a.m.–5:30 p.m. Sun. Closed major holidays. On F.M. 50,
