Eggleston House

Eggleston House is a carefully restored log house, originally built in 1848 and furnished with antiques to reveal a picture of Texas pioneer life. Free tours may be arranged through the museum or by contacting the chamber of commerce. Open 10 a.m.– noon and 1–5 p.m. Tue.–Sat., and 1–5 p.m. Sun. 888/672-1095.

Comprised of a fine arts museum, a history museum, a children's museum and an educational center, all in the historic Grace Hotel. Built in 1909, the Grace is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and portions of the building are restored to its 1929 appearance.
