Brownsville Old City Cemetery & Old City Cemetery Center

Honors remains of veterans from the Civil War and the U.S.-Mexico War, founding families of Brownsville, members of the Free Masons and Hebrew members of the community. The Old City Cemetery Center—a visitor center with an interpretive exhibit on the history of the cemetery and its inhabitants—is open 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Tue.–Fri. Brownsville Historical Association leads guided walking tours of the cemetery 10 a.m. Fri. Guided tours available by appointment; one-week notice required. Free. 600 E.
