Bosque Memorial Museum

This museum displays the largest collection of Norwegian artifacts in the South and Southwest. Permanent displays include a furnished log cabin, blacksmith shop and early kitchen before electricity. Also included are mineral and fossil collections, farm tools and Native American artifacts. The museum has yearly changing exhibits. Open 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Tue.–Sat. Admission charge. 301 S. Featured Attraction

Historic buildings include the 1901 railroad depot and the 1850 McNabb House, Carrie Nation's daughter's home, located adjacent to the 1896 county jail. The jail houses the Richmond Police Department and is an excellent example of Richardsonian Romanesque revival style of high Victorian architecture. 500 block of Preston.
