Big Bend National Park Visitor Centers

Information, maps, literature and exhibits about the area. Visitor center in the lobby of Park Headquarters at Panther Junction is open 8 a.m.–6 p.m. Chisos Basin is open 8:30 a.m.–4 p.m., Persimmon Gap is open 9 a.m.–4 p.m., and Rio Grande Village is open Nov.–April 8:30 a.m.–4 p.m. Castolon Visitors Center is open Nov.–April 10 a.m.–5 p.m. daily. Featured Attraction

The Dallas Museum of Art's collection includes American masterpieces by Church, O'Keeffe and Wyeth, contemporary art by Pollock, Rothko, Warhol and Lichtenstein; European and impressionist art by Renoir, Van Gogh, Cezanne and Monet; and art of the Americas, Africa, Asia and the Pacific. Special temporary exhibits are on display throughout the year.

Enjoy "Jazz Under the Stars," a free outdoor concert series featuring local, regional and national jazz talent, on Thursday nights in May and June. "Late Nights" on third Friday of month from 6 p.m.–midnight, feature performances, concerts, readings, film screenings and more. Open 11 a.m.–5 p.m. Tue.–Wed. and Fri.–Sun., and 11 a.m.–9 p.m. Thu.
