Construction on this building, listed in the National Register of Historic Places, was completed in 1899. It was the last courthouse designed by architect Eugene T. Heiner, who modeled it after the county courthouse in Pittsburgh, Pa. Visitors can see the original tile floor, artwork on vault doors and the magnificent grand staircase. Restoration and renovation completed in 2010. Festival of Lights is held at the Courthouse Square on the last Saturday in November. Open 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Mon.–Fri. Main Street at East Third Street.
