This 19th-century hotel counted among its guests Ulysses S. Grant, Rutherford
B. Hayes, Jay Gould and Oscar Wilde. Guest rooms feature period furnishings of
maple, cherry and mahogany, along with marble-topped dressers and button and
spool beds. Many furnishings are original to the hotel, which opened in the late
