Dickinson Railroad Museum

This testifies to the city's past as a commercial hub on the Galveston, Houston and Henderson (GH&H) Railroad, one of the earliest chartered railroads in Texas. Listen to conversations about life and events in Dickinson; experience the sensation of "roaring good times" through stories of The Depression, gambling houses, bootleggers and moonshiners; and examine a trunk filled with women's clothing to get a feel for a time when rail travel could be leisurely and luxurious. Open 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Wed.–Fri. and 1–4 p.m. Sun. Admission charge. 218 F.M. 517 West. 281/534-4367.
