Founded in 1720 and known as the "Queen of Missions," the church was built
between 1768–82. The mission compound was reconstructed in the 1930s, and the
church was restored in 2011. Visitors are fascinated by the rich facade of the
domed church and by the sculptured exterior of the sacristy window known as "the
Rose Window," or "Rosa's Window." 6701 San Jose Drive at Mission Road.
