Train ride in Brackenridge Park

Brackenridge Park

Includes rustic stone bridges and winding walks, gleaming pools and a Japanese Tea Garden. On occasion, the Sunken Gardens Theater presents entertainment. The Brackenridge Eagle miniature train offers a 3.5-mile ride around the park. Numerous picnic spots. Adjacent to the San Antonio Zoo, Witte Museum, Brackenridge Golf Course and Pioneer Hall Museum.

This 108-acre park draws bikers from all over the world for competition in events such as the Western 4-Stroke Nationals. Includes a main track that's 1.7 miles long and 30 feet wide, and it features peewee and junior tracks for beginners. Open noon–5:30 p.m. Thu. and 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Sat.–Sun. Camping available Fri.–Sat.
