Botanical Gardens in Fort Worth

Fort Worth Botanic Garden

This showcase of 150,000 living plants represents 2,500 species, displayed in both formal and natural settings. A 10,000-square-foot glass conservatory is planted with more than 2,500 plants native to Central and South America. Garden Center open 8 a.m.–10 p.m. Mon.–Fri., 8 a.m.–7 p.m. Sat. and 1–7 p.m. Sun. Call ahead as hours may vary by season. Conservatory open April–Oct. 10 a.m.–6 p.m. Mon.–Sat.; Nov.–March 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Free for botanical gardens; admission charge for conservatory. 3220 Botanic Garden Drive in the Cultural District. 817/871-7686. www.fwbg.org.

JapaneseGarden -- This enchanting 6-acre garden of oriental design feature a pagoda, moon- viewing deck, teahouse and meditation garden amid lush exotic plants. Open Nov.-March 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and April-Oct. 9 a.m.-7 p.m. daily. Admission charge. 3220 Botanic Garden Blvd. in the Cultural District. 807/871-7685. www.fwbg.org.
