Annie Riggs Hotel Museum in Fort Stockton

Annie Riggs Hotel Museum

The old hotel was built in 1899 on a stage route. Restored and maintained by the local historical society, the 14 rooms display area collections: 19th-century clothing, photography, Native American artifacts, cowboy regalia, kitchen utensils, geology, archeology and religion. Open 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Mon.–Sat. with extended hours in summer. Admission charge. 301 S. Main St. 432/336-2167

The original 3-acre site of the Cotton Belt Depot and cotton docks has been redeveloped to include the Grapevine Historical Museum, visitor center, farmers' market and an artists' center. Visitors can see demonstrations of such artisan crafts as blacksmithing, glass blowing and making bronze sculptures. Gifts and custom orders available. Open 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Mon.–Sat. and 1–5 p.m. Sun. 707 S. Main St.
