In a sloping basin among the scenic Davis Mountains, the 1,869-acre park host more than 155,000 visitors annually. A free interpretive center is open afternoons June–August. It features plant and animal material, both live and mounted; a bird observation window; and a wildlife watering station. Camping, picnicking, dining room, trailer facilities, rest rooms, nature study and hiking are available. Admission charge. Indian Lodge — On the slopes of the Davis Mountains, this rustic inn was built in the 1930s and was modeled after Southwestern pueblos. Admission charge. 432/426-3254.
