This program offers a glimpse of the ceremonies and rituals of death in 19th-century Texas. The unfortunate death of Henry Fanthorp, proprietor of one of Texas' most successful stagecoach inns, on Oct. 31, 1867, reminds us of the fragile state of life in the 1800s. Presentations are ongoing through the day and last 35-40 minutes. Fanthorp Inn State Historic Site.
