Museum explores Texas and Texans during wartime and how those experiences affect life today. The Collection includes artifacts and exhibits ranging from Texas Independence through the Iraq War. In front is a memorial to native Texan recipients of the Medal of Honor. The Historical Research Center houses books, artwork and original documents primarily concerning the Civil War. Located at Hill College, part of the Harold B. Simpson History Complex. Open June–Aug. 10 a.m.–5 p.m.; also open on Sat. 10 a.m.–5 p.m. between Memorial Day and Labor Day; closed for major holidays.
