Landmark Inn State Historic Site

Located on the banks of the Medina River, this site tells and preserves the story of Alsatian pioneers in Texas. The restored 1850s inn offers eight rooms for overnight lodging. The site offers daily tours of exhibits, historic structures and gristmill. Picnicking, fishing and kayaking on Medina River also available. Texas Historical Commission property. Open daily: 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Florence St. just off U.S. 90. 830/931-2133.
