The Central Texas village west of Austin on U.S. 290 (established in 1870) was named for Confederate General Stonewall Jackson. Famed for delicious Gillespie County peaches, and location of LBJ Ranch, home of the late President Lyndon B. Johnson. Along the Highway 290 Wine Trail.
