Named for the spring-fed Tahoka Lake northeast of town, the town has been the Lynn County seat since 1903. Watch for the Tahoka Daisy mid-spring until frost. First discovered at Tahoka Lake, the lavender wildflower spreads over the plains to rival the bluebonnet and wild verbena.
