Named for Henry Pfluger Sr., whose family emigrated from Germany and settled in the area in 1849. The town site of Pflugerville was platted in 1904. The city is located just north of Austin and is one of the fastest-growing communities in Texas. Many historic homes and structures can be found throughout the city.
